13 INVOCATIONS FOR WORLD PEACE.
Offerings of Passion, Dance, Peace, and Miracles is a collaboration that incorporates art, activism and spirituality in an energetic invocation for social change. Performing 13 days prior to election of November 4, 2004, this production will focus spells and rituals by artists from diverse communities to inspire the voting masses to claim an agenda of justice, peace, and passion. Continuing in the Dance Brigade tradition, artistic director Krissy Keefer bring stogether artists from different dance and theatre communities to cast a "dance theatre spell" for a new direction in national leadership. Featured performing artists include: DANCE BRIGADE (dance performance), KEITH HENNESSY / CIRCO ZERO (acrobatics / aerial wizadry), COPPER WIMMIN (A Cappella vocal masters), and HOLLY NEAR (folk singer / activist legend).This community artistic extravaganza operates on a spiritual / energetic realm to actively fortify community resolve by embracing our universal grief and humanity.
